Tosca Reservoir

The marshes of the Serranía de Cuenca are usually beautiful, smaller than normal and with pine forests reaching their edges, which makes it a delight for the senses. In a valley opened by the Cuervo River sits the La Tosca dam built in 1967 for the production of electricity. Surrounded by lush pine forests, the reservoir offers a landscape of great beauty and tranquility. Nearby is the charming village of Santa María del Val.

How to get there

Head to El Tobar, cross the village and take the asphalt road to the right. Continue 10 km to the tail of the reservoir, park and follow the unpaved road to the dam. By car: 20 minutes to the beginning of the reservoir. Once there, you can visit the site at your own pace along the unmarked road.
