Waterfall of the Molino in the Tajo River

The Molino de Arriba waterfall, on the Tajo River, is an artificial waterfall created by an old dam and hydroelectric plant, now abandoned. The deposit of calcium carbonate on the walls of the dam has managed to create a large natural tuffaceous building of great dimensions.

How to get there

Take the CM-210 towards Masegosa and continue towards the source of the Cuervo River. After 7 km, turn left onto the CM-2106 towards Peralejos de las Truchas. Park at the Martinete bridge. Cross the iron gate and take the right road; always follow the detours to the left. The route, 8 km round trip, is not signposted; caution is advised. Driving time: 20 minutes.
