Cueva del Hierro Roman Mine

The Cueva del Hierro Roman Mine, in the town of the same name, is a historical attraction in the Serranía de Cuenca. It is a mine that was exploited from pre-Roman times until the 20th century. The guided tour goes through subway galleries and the interpretation center, which explains mining in the region, showing tools and techniques used over the centuries.

How to get there

Head towards CM-210 in the direction of Molina de Aragón and, after 5 km to Cueva del Hierro, follow the signs to the mine. Driving time: 8 minutes.
