Poveda Falls

Salto de Poveda, located in the Alto Tajo Natural Park, is a unique natural site resulting from an unfinished hydroelectric project. Conceived next to the Chorrera reservoir, the work was abandoned due to leaks that made the plant unfeasible. Today, it is a waterfall with perfectly naturalized tuffaceous formations on the Tagus River.

How to get there

Take the CM-210 towards Molina de Aragón to Poveda de la Sierra, continue 5 km more to the bridge over the Tajo. Turn right onto a forest track towards Casas del Salto and continue to the parking lot. In summer the parking is regulated. Driving time: 30 min.
